RE & Prayer Resources
During school closures, we encourage families to come together in prayer.
“Virtues to Live By” enables you to explore each virtue over a three week period (two per half term) to improve the school community’s virtue literacy and to deepen understanding and appreciation of the essential role the virtues play in the education of the whole person towards human flourishing. The virtues chosen are common across cultures and faiths, but are sourced from the Christian tradition. They are linked directly to work in the Diocese of Leeds on the virtues and character education. See companion documents by clicking the Diocese logo:
Virtues to Live By” is a resource created by the Diocese of Leeds with the creative and financial support of the Leeds Diocesan Association of Primary Headteachers.
The Mark 10 Mission – click the logo below – is full of wonderful Episodes, Gospels and Stories that we will look at together. Please check them out for yourselves!

Family Liturgies Collective Worship
Discovering ways to pray with children offers them space for connection with God and, not surprisingly, has been shown to improve well-being.
Consequently, we give our children an invaluable and timeless gift when we teach them how to pray, and it’s a gift they can carry with them throughout all of life.
At St. Joseph’s, especially during this time of isolation and uncertainty, we feel it is so important to keep and strengthen our relationship with God and these resources will help you to do so.
We are keeping you all in our prayers and look forward to the time when we can worship and celebrate together as a whole school community.
God bless,
The St. Joseph’s Team
Please use this link to share Sunday’s gospel as a family. You could make it a special part of your Sunday. Gather together, create a prayer space and light a candle. We hope you find this a useful way to invite Jesus into your lives during these difficult and challenging times.
